letting things fall away doesn’t always mean letting them go.
letting things go doesn’t always mean letting them end.
because relationship is not a problem to be solved
a prize to be won
a game to be played
or a machine to pilot.
it is a force of nature.
a magnetic pulse heard across timespace
ringing the ears and trembling the skull until it shines.
an invisible tether
an echo of the heart song
resounding in the cavity between our face and our mask.
a force that binds us whether we notice it or not,
that calls us to trust the way we trust a morning glory to sleep in the absence of light,
or a sunflower to turn towards its namesake.
letting things fall away can mean trusting them to return when it’s time.
letting things go can mean letting them all the way in.
sometimes the right distance is all the way up close,
but unless we hold on with loose hands, how can we know?
this live call is a space to confront and digest the themes of change, impermanence, and mystery through ritual art.
the hollow body: death practise and creative liberation
31 july 2026 @ 6:30pm ET
it all starts with death. before we can fill with new information and learn new ways of being, we must leave at the door everything we think we already know. how will we choose to experience this precious and fragile human life? let’s allow death to show us the way.
THE DIAPHANOUS EDGE—
formerly known as ‘Alchemical Writing’—is a monthly poetry and ritual theory group that supports artists, healers, scholars and seekers with self-exploration, creative expansion, and relational field tending.
we engage ritual theory, mystical practise, meditation, and mythology as pathways to introspection, contemplation, transformation, and expression.
if you’re ready to make the art that will shift reality, liberate those you love—and most of all, confront you with the real—join us for an evening of journalling, play, art sharing, and free expression.
